Net specialist Duranet is constructing innovative new building

Since its establishment in 1996, Duranet has undergone a major metamorphosis. Over the course of nearly three decades, the company has experienced tremendous growth. From a modest, rented building on Zandvoordestraat in Ostend, it moved into its own industrial premises on Stationsstraat and is now constructing a brand-new building on John Cordierlaan. The relocation is scheduled for the summer of 2025, but we’re already looking ahead.

Duranet currently has a brand-new building constructed in Oostende. This is the third site in its nearly 30-year existence. The reason? The company is thriving and the current warehouse has become too small for the flourishing operation. The new building provides Duranet with the space it needs to continue its growth plan.

  • The new building has an impressive surface area of 3,500 m².
  • The production space doubles in size.
  • The 10-metre-high warehouse centralises storage in one place.
  • The innovative new workplace is optimally organised. This leads to greater efficiency and increased speed of delivery.
  • The 6,700 m² plot also offers plenty of room for further expansion in the future.

Investing in sustainability

Of course, Duranet is also fully committed to sustainability. The new building will be equipped with LED lighting, solar panels, heat pumps, solar-control and insulating glazing, high-quality insulation, ventilation and rainwater recovery. In addition, Duranet provides charging stations for electric cars and bicycles for both employees and visitors. All these investments mean that our new building meets the highest environmental standards with flying colours.

People-oriented workplace

We already talked about functionality and sustainability. But that’s not all. We attach equal importance to a pleasant working environment. Large windows let in plenty of natural light and offer relaxing views of the green surroundings. We provide a covered bicycle parking area and create pleasant facilities both indoors and outdoors where employees can have enjoyable lunches and breaks together. After all, our staff is the driving force behind our business and their well-being is central to us.

This ambitious project marks an important step in Duranet’s evolution. The construction works have recently started with the aim of moving to the new site in the summer of 2025.
